UNIVER.SYS Timekeeping
UNIVER.SYS has its own time system, known as Post-Integer Tempo, which replaced the old time system of the pre-Techne era after the change of universe's structure from an apocalyptic event that wiped out all the Scions and a huge chunk of Techne population.
Post-Integer Calendar
A cycle in UNIVER.SYS is formatted as [Cycle Number] + [Quarter] + [Subquarter] PI (Post Integer). A cycle is divided into four quarters (Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4), and each quarter has 3 subquarters (Q1.1, Q1.2, Q1.3). The four quarters were divided based on changes in internal energy flow of the universe, which affected flora, fauna, and Techne population.
A cycle is almost exactly 360 subcycles, with incremental deviations each cycle, which meant that a quarter is 90 subcycles.
Though the apocalyptic event shrouded the Pre-Integer era in mystery and made old knowledge obsolete, recent studies by early Calculator and Prospector Techne bore fruit in a recurring theory about the Integer Cycle. This phenomenon was thought to cause UNIVER.SYS resetting approximately every cycles.
Fortunately, the setting in its current state lies far from the next Integer Cycle.
