UNIVER.SYS is a work of fiction, and is not intended to portray computing history in a comprehensive or accurate way, as the project is influenced by the author's personal interests, nor it was made to replace or compete with similar concepts related to computing personifications.

This project used a significant amount of artistic licenses, and as such, expect some historical details or events to be altered or omitted in UNIVER.SYS. Certain examples include how a Techne can represent more than one technological entity (e.g. Techne embodying a line of operating systems), or how certain technologies are not represented (e.g. technologies considered controversial or having negative reputations). This was done to streamline the project and avoid redundancy, and to avoid the tone of the setting for being too bleak.
