Scions

Scions are a presumably extinct race from an unknown world beyond UNIVER.SYS, and is the precursor of the Techne along with the Monads. In the current understanding of UNIVER.SYS, Scions are very likely to be a descendant or derivative of the original human race, thus they inherit humanoid appearance, mannerisms, and culture.

Scion culture influenced many aspects of Techne society, however after their eventual defeat and extinction by the early Techne generation, a number of their old practices were rendered obsolete and outright banned. It took centuries for it to garner newfound, nuanced interest by the newer Techne.
