Sinikka Koskela/Meta
Appearance
Technical
- Sinikka represents the Nokia Senator (or Mobira Senator), a car phone by Nokia first released in 1982, considered the first "mobile phone".
- Her hefty, old-fashioned clothing was based on the Senator's utilitarian, radio-like design and weight compared to its successors.[3]
- Her occupation as both businessperson and antiquarian were inspired by the Senator's intended demographic (businesspeople), and its status nowadays as a rare collectors' item or museum displays.[4]
Misc.
- Sinikka's coat has motifs reminiscent of hands, which alluded to Nokia's famous hand logo. While anachronistic for a character based on a very old phone, Nokia in general is synonymous with this imagery.[5]
