- Nix represents Xenix, a Unix distribution by Microsoft from 1980. It was also the most popular Unix system in the 1980s.
- Her cosmic theme is based on this Unix World magazine cover about Xenix in 1985. [1]

- Nix's occupation as an idol and promoter is a reference to Xenix being a popular Unix distribution in the 1980s, which also include uses in SDF Public Access Unix System[4]
- SDF is a reference to Super Dimension Fortress Macross series. One of its characters, Lynn Minmay, is the first widely known anime idol singer.
