Ensembles

UNIVER.SYS is divided into many Ensembles—city-state territories of Techne, based on real-life companies and entities in computing history. Most Ensembles were situated in Clusters, or greater areas, however Clusters have no central government and was very much a remnant of UNIVER.SYS' early era of cartography.

This list doesn't encompass all known Ensembles in UNIVER.SYS as they were simply too many to count. Ensembles with individual pages were the ones with most focus or notable characters in the current narrative, although this is a subject to change and other Ensembles can have their own pages as more information is being gathered.

Liberty Cluster

Logiciel

The City of Engineers, an uprising metropolis promising both their citizens and visitors a bright future. Combining cutting-edge technology with appreciation for natural landscapes, Logiciel became a fertile ground for business and education.

Prismage

Also known as the fashion and arts capital of UNIVER.SYS, Prismage's appreciation for creative ventures and tasteful architecture was well-known. Legends said that Prismage started as a humble orchard that brought many Techne from different paths of life together, into a colorful community.

Arenes

An archipelago with scenic waterfronts and lively communities of entertainers, businesspeople, and crafters. The Techne of Arenes were proud of their home and lived active lifestyles, seeing every opportunity as valuable.

Ethereal Canopy

Once a pioneer in multimedia arts, many Techne used to study photography and printing technology in Ethereal Canopy and brought them back to their home Ensemble in turn. However as time went on, EC relied too much on their main source of income and refused to branch into different sectors, which made them lose relevance compared to other Ensembles in Liberty Cluster.

Blue Intelligence Mechanica (BIM)

One of the oldest Ensembles in UNIVER.SYS, but their influence around the world was anything but gone. It was often said that BIM encouraged modernist architecture and philosophies as the "standard" in Techne society, and contributed greatly in the development of the Arts System.

Glaukos Cluster

Avaloria

A large island with a rich history dating back to pre-Techne era of UNIVER.SYS. While its people remained up-to-date with the latest cultural scene, many of them still valued traditions and art forms of bygone eras, and even reinventing them for modern audiences.

Virta

The City of Frostwind, its pristine landscape and clear lakes were both beautiful and hauntingly freezing. Many dreamed of Virta as a paradise, though only few can survive beyond its seemingly perfect facade. The Techne of Virta were often told to be as resilient and unyielding as the cold that molded them.
